During the restoration, 120 million individual tiles were painstakingly cleaned by about 50 conservators from all across Europe.
This Roman villa, one of Sicily’s most precious sites dating back to antiquity, was the residence of a wealthy merchant between the 3rd and 4th century AD, who brought back a group of artists specialised in the art of mosaic making after his last trip to Africa. My husbands needs to use a walker for a lot of walking, would this trip be a problem for him
Steve Cosgrove says
from our tour operator in Italy – in Sicily the roads are cobbled stone and narrow, there are various places where there is uphill and downhill and the group has to walk.Plus there would be the possible issue that this slows down the whole group during visits.
Possibly we would have to provide an additional guide at an extra cost just for this person throughout the tour for the visits.
Debbie Kincaid says
Hi….maybe we can start our own little group!? My hubby is an amputee…Sicily is his dream trip!
Steve Cosgrove says
let us know what his handicap needs are and we will see if there are parts of tour he could not do.
