Should you buy a drink package on your cruise? The answer depends on how many martinis (or sodas, or beers) you drink in a day. We found that the typical drink package on each cruise line to be priced to be about equal to 6 drinks a day.
Now depending on the drink package those 6 drinks could include soft drinks, coffees, iced tea, juice, bottled water and nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks. So look closely and decide which one might be best for you.
If you are traveling with kids or you drink a lot of soft drinks, then the soft drink programs are almost always a better buy than buying the drinks one at a time on the cruise.
Most of these drink packages can be purchased at the time of booking your cruise or at the very least must be bought when you board or the 1st day at sea. Many of the unlimited drink programs, especially the alcoholic packages, will require everyone 21 and over in the cabin to also purchase the drink program so that may prove to be a deal killer. Notice, the prices shown below are subject to change at any time by the cruise lines.

Checking the Princess…….Their premier drink pkg. seems to be missing……I hope it is anyway as we were led to believe it covered all drinks up to 13.00. There was a limit……this is what our friends were told…..They are not interline….does that make a difference, Steve??
Steve Cosgrove says
this was an old post we need to update. Check with our agents and they can see what the current options are and how or if they can be added to the interline rate.
